Backend Engineer - Money

Description: Build and maintain backend services and APIs for accounts, balances, transfers, and payments. Deliver well-scoped tasks from implementation to production, ensuring quality with unit and integration tests. Follow strict money handling rules and assist with integrations with banks and payment partners. Participate in code reviews, investigate bugs, and document technical work. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 2+ years of professional backend engineering, with production services. Languages: Proficient in Java, Go, or another modern backend language. Fundamentals: Understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, SQL, and basic concurrency. Data & Messaging: Knowledge of transactions, caching (Redis), and messaging (Kafka). Tools: Familiarity with Git, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
