Senior Backend Engineer I - Money

Description: Build and maintain backend services for customer accounts and money movement, including balances, transfers, payments, and statements. Deliver features from technical design to production with tests, monitoring, and alerting. Ensure accurate processing of transfers and payments with clear transaction states and audit trails. Integrate with banks and payment partners, managing delays and errors safely. Support daily batch processing and reconciliation, addressing mismatches at the root. Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews. Investigate production issues and implement lasting fixes. Collaborate with Product, Finance, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to develop reliable solutions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience, including production services. Proficiency in Java, Go, or another modern backend language. Understanding of microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven design, and reliability basics. Hands-on experience with relational databases, caching (Redis), and messaging (Kafka). Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), containers, and CI/CD.
