Senior Backend Engineer II - Money

Description: Own backend services for customer accounts and money movement from design to production. Design scalable, secure backend services and APIs for accounts, balances, transfers, and payments. Integrate with banks and payment networks, ensuring resilience and correctness in money flows. Mentor mid-level engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, particularly with production services handling money. Strong proficiency in Java, Go, or another modern backend language. Solid understanding of microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and distributed transactions. Hands-on experience with relational databases, caching (Redis), and messaging (Kafka). Familiarity with banking domain concepts such as ledgers and payment networks.
