Staff Software Engineer, Ledger

Description: Alt is focused on unlocking the value of alternative assets, particularly in the trading-card market, with a goal of achieving 99.99% reliability on gateway and banking integrations. The Staff Software Engineer will build and maintain the ledger, rails, and reconciliation processes, ensuring correctness and reliability in financial transactions. Requirements: Proven experience owning a double-entry ledger in production and handling real money transactions on various payment rails (ACH, RTP, etc.). Strong database skills, particularly in SQL, Python, Postgres, and AWS, with a focus on transaction integrity under load. Familiarity with API concepts, financial correctness, and product-owner thinking. Experience building AI-driven tools or systems that enhance financial processes.
