Senior Software Engineer, Ledger

Description: Alt is focused on unlocking the value of alternative assets, starting with the trading-card market. The Senior Software Engineer will own the ledger system, manage money movement, and ensure reconciliation for financial transactions. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in backend systems (Python, Postgres, AWS). Experience with real money movement (ACH, RTP, wires). Familiarity with double-entry ledgers and large transactions. Strong SQL and relational database design skills. Knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and reconciliation processes. Experience in marketplace or two-sided flow environments. Strong focus on correctness, idempotency, and data consistency. Pragmatic approach to building solutions. Bonus: React and TypeScript experience, knowledge of distributed systems, and exposure to alternative asset space.
