Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Tech Lead

Description: OpenMined is a nonprofit focused on developing open-source solutions for federated AI, aiming to transform data access and sharing while ensuring privacy. The Senior/Staff Software Engineer will lead the ScreamingFace squad to build a leaderboard for fusion models and an open toolkit for benchmark evaluations. Requirements: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record in building and operating production systems. Strong proficiency in Python (3.12+) and experience with AI coding agents, distributed systems, and API design. Technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and establishing engineering quality practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across time zones.
