🇩🇪 Software-Architect / System-Designer (100% Remote / German-Speaking)

Location: United Kingdom Fluent German is required for this role. Our customers are property management companies in Germany. We're seeking an experienced Software architect / Full-Stack Developer who thinks like a Systems Designer – someone who reaches for schema diagrams and load assumptions before reaching for code. You'll join our fully remote team. If you like complexity, enjoy reasoning about data, scale and reliability, want to implement AI-solutions and enjoy working with Claude, this could be the right role for you. What you'll do Own the system design – you decide how data is modeled, where state lives, how components talk to each other, and how the whole system behaves under load. You stay responsible for it once it's live. Make the hard, hard-to-reverse design decisions early – and reason explicitly about the trade-offs behind them Design and own our data layer from the ground up for new features – tables and relationships, indexing strategy, and query/load optimization that holds up as data and traffic grow Design queues, background jobs and long-running workflows that stay correct and reliable under heavy load and partial failure Talk to customers to understand how they actually use the product, and bring that into architecture decisions, the direction of our stack and the overall product vision Work independently in an AI-first development setup with Claude About Us is an all-in-one platform for property management companies with features like an Inbox, CRM, Documents, Telephony, Video Calls, Team Chat and AI-Agents. We want to automate as much of a property manager's daily work as we can. Our tech stack Everything is TypeScript. From our database schema to the frontend. Backend: Convex (Database & serverless functions) Frontend: , React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui Salary $1500 - $3000 per month before taxes with room for growth and promotion in the months & years ahead Permanent employment contract in your country of residence through our partner Deel (EOR) Benefits 100% remote work Allianz Gold Health Insurance with great coverage Flexible hours As many AI-tokens as you need We’re self-funded & profitable (and not burning VC money to survive) Small team, real ownership — what you build actually goes live Quick decisions, no pointless meetings and no layers of approval to get through Our special Health Program Private room in hospital, worldwide coverage Free choice of doctors & specialists, no health check, pre-existing conditions don't matter Partner and kids are covered as well Surgery, cancer care, MRI/CT/PET scans and diagnostics fully covered Dental treatment & surgery covered at 90% $675/year for physio, osteopathy, chiropractic and acupuncture $100 per night in-patient cash benefit, up to 20 nights Prescription drugs, vaccinations, glasses/contacts, home nursing and ambulance covered Our values Get things done, every day matters Transparency and honesty, especially when it’s hard High standards for our own work and each other's For a closer look at what we're building, check out our YouTube channel — heads up, it's in German. Requirements Fluent German, spoken and written A genuine systems-design background – you can design a database from scratch (tables, relationships, indexes) and reason about database load, query performance and data growth, not just write CRUD against an existing schema The instinct to think in terms of consistency, throughput, failure modes and bottlenecks – you know where the system will hurt before it does Comfort designing queues, background jobs and long-running workflows, and the judgment to make the hard design trade-offs they involve You treat reliability, scalability and maintainability as default concerns. If you've read "Designing Data-Intensive Applications" (Kleppmann) – or simply think that way – you'll feel right at home here Solid English skills for smooth communication within the team You work autonomously and take full ownership of your tasks You're comfortable talking to customers to understand what they actually need Your techstack: is not important to us, since AI will be writing 100% of your code.
