Founding Data Engineer (Pricing/Comps)

Description: Build the data foundation for reliable pricing in an online marketplace. Transform inconsistent sold-listing data into trustworthy price estimates and comparable items. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience with large-scale production ETL and data pipelines. Experience with messy data in marketplaces, pricing, or fraud domains. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with modern data tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark). Knowledge of statistical estimation or pricing models, including regression-based logic. Experience with entity resolution and production data quality monitoring. Ability to communicate data quality tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in pricing intelligence or early-stage startups is a plus. Benefits: Annual salary range: $160,000 to $220,000 USD. Remote work opportunity within the United States and North America.
