Software Engineer,Backend

SpecterOps is searching for a mid-level back-end software engineer to join our Internal and Community Products team. This team develops and maintains internal and open-source projects such as Mythic and Ghostwriter. Because we believe in transparency and open source, we are committed to maintaining, growing, and supporting these projects for the benefit of the security community. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, maintain, and document back-end components across our projects using languages and technologies such as Python, Go, Docker, and PostgreSQL. T The work spans web applications, REST and GraphQL APIs, command-line tools, containerized services, and infrastructure automation, including technologies such as Ansible and Terraform. Our software plays an active role in authorized adversarial cybersecurity operations, including penetration testing and red team engagements. A security background is not required; we can teach the security concepts and workflows needed to work effectively on these projects. We are a small team, so successful candidates should be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of problems, and collaborating with teammates when needed. Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 base salary annually, commensurate with experience. Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S. with optional travel quarterly for in person company events and other ad hoc meetings. Candidate must be authorized to work and reside in the United States; we do not currently sponsor immigration visas.
