Applied ML Engineer

Description: Seeking an Applied ML Engineer to develop systems combining machine learning research and production software. Role involves end-to-end engineering, from reading research papers to building production systems. Requirements: Strong Python skills with experience in PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers. Understanding of ML evaluation, dataset design, and statistical uncertainty. Ability to implement ML methods from research papers. Experience in building production software, including APIs and deployment. Familiarity with open-weight models and LLM inference systems. Ability to work across backend and frontend, primarily React/TypeScript. Strong technical judgment and ownership in problem-solving. Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
