Staff Software Engineer - (Portable Libraries) Rust/C++

Description: Join a team redefining design experiences at Canva, focusing on mobile platforms. Work on portable libraries in Rust/C++ that run across iOS, Android, and web from a single codebase. Collaborate with other Staff engineers to shape the mobile platform's technical direction. Engage in hands-on coding and technical communication with frontend engineers. Requirements: Experience building production mobile software on both iOS and Android. Proficiency in Rust and/or C++ with a focus on production code. Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and propose solutions. Understanding of cross-platform code and memory safety across languages. Strong technical communication skills for writing design documentation. Familiarity with AI's impact on mobile and systems-level engineering is a plus.
