Applied AI Engineer

Description: Monte Carlo is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to build products that ensure the trustworthiness of AI agents. The role involves end-to-end problem solving, from research and prototyping to production integration with engineering and data science teams. Requirements: Proven experience building autonomous agents in production, not just frameworks or tools. Experience in evaluating and monitoring agents post-launch, including owning an evaluation framework. Proficiency in Python with a background in ML or data science. Ability to work from ambiguous problem statements and design experiments. Daily use of AI tools for coding and research. Preference for shipping solutions quickly rather than polishing them indefinitely. Nice to have: knowledge of statistics, experience with MCP servers, and familiarity with data/cloud technologies like Snowflake and Databricks.
