Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Description: Seeking a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer for the Machine Learning Science team at Freenome. Responsible for developing and deploying infrastructure for deep learning (DL) models using genomic data to reduce cancer mortality. Role involves collaboration with machine learning scientists, computational biologists, and software engineers. Requirements: MS or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Software Engineering with AI/ML focus. 5+ years of industry experience in AI/ML software engineering pipelines. Proficiency in Python or other programming languages (Java, C++, etc.). Strong knowledge of ML/DL fundamentals and experience with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow. In-depth knowledge of scalable computing platforms (Ray, DeepSpeed) and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud). Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Proven experience in optimizing workflows for training DL models and managing large datasets. Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD practices. Excellent cross-functional communication skills. Benefits: Base salary range of $173,775 - $246,750, with eligibility for equity and cash bonuses.
