Senior Database Engineer II

Description: Seeking an experienced database engineer to evolve SurveyMonkey's data stores towards a cloud-native, globally distributed architecture. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable data store solutions, managing SQL Server and MySQL databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requirements: 7+ years managing high-performing databases in production environments. 5+ years of strong SQL query skills and 3+ years with PostgreSQL databases. Expertise in SQL Server and MySQL, including clustering and performance tuning. Experience with Terraform, cloud-based database solutions, and vector databases. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field; AWS certification is a plus. Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, ETL development, and scripting languages. Benefits: Base pay ranges from CAD $95,200.00 to $137,000.00 per year, depending on market and experience.
