Lead Data Engineer (GCP) REMOTE - #35373

Description: Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of core data pipelines and infrastructure. Lead the design and delivery of complex data engineering initiatives from architecture to implementation. Establish engineering standards across Python, SQL, orchestration, testing, documentation, data governance, and monitoring. Set technical direction and quality standards for data engineering, conducting design and code reviews. Partner with Data Science, BI, and business teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions. Requirements: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, particularly in production data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Strong hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and analytics workflows. Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery and relevant data services. Proven experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and managing data pipelines. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for developing scalable data solutions. Good understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality monitoring. Experience in leading complex data engineering projects and ensuring system performance. Ability to establish engineering standards and provide technical guidance to other engineers. Familiarity with AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with effective communication abilities.
