GrowthLoop
Customer Architect (Marketing Analytics & Experimentation)
About this role
About GrowthLoop GrowthLoop is an agentic, composable customer data platform (CDP) for marketers. GrowthLoop helps innovative companies, including Google, Indeed, Canva, The Chicago Cubs, and Express, unlock the value of their customer data in the cloud data warehouse to power audience targeting, orchestration, analysis, and AI-powered optimization of their customer relationships. We’re looking for a Customer Architect who brings marketing analytics expertise to the customer relationship. The best partners to our enterprise teams are practitioners who understand the data challenges these marketers are trying to solve. In this role, you’ll partner with AI-forward enterprise teams as they build on GrowthLoop’s platform and own both the technical relationship end-to-end, from kickoff through expansion. What you’ll do Customer onboarding and implementation You’ll lead end-to-end onboarding projects for enterprise customers, from pre-kickoff technical discovery through first value milestone and go-live. That means owning the technical implementation of GrowthLoop across cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks), destination integrations, and data modeling. You’ll build and maintain the artifacts that make these projects run: project Gantt charts, kickoff decks, use case trackers, and data workshop materials. And you’ll use AI to make all of it faster and sharper than any traditional implementation. Marketing analytics and AI enablement You’ll be a hands-on analytics partner to your customers, digging into their data to answer the questions their marketers actually care about: which audiences to target, how a campaign is doing, and what a channel is really worth. You’ll put causality to work, helping them move from guessing what drives behavior to knowing which actions change it. You’ll set up agentic workflows for audience ideation, campaign optimization, and performance analysis that cut their reliance on engineering. And you’ll keep up with what’s new in AI and martech, and bring it to your customers before they think to ask. Technical account management Once customers are live, you’ll maintain a technical relationship with their GrowthLoop working team (and sometimes fly onsite to work alongside them). You’ll understand their use cases in depth, surface and document bugs and feature requests, and guide users through more advanced problem-solving needs. Experimentation leadership You’ll lead advanced use cases with your customers focused on designed experiments (statistical tests and holdout audiences) and campaign measurement. That includes teaching users about experimental design, working through implementation, and setting up measurement. You’ll also measure beyond the experiment itself: analyzing the impact of GrowthLoop through pre/post and difference-in-difference reporting. What you’ll bring 3+ years of experience in a marketing analytics or marketing solutions role. Strong SQL. Nice to have: experience with system implementations, coding agent environments (Cursor), or customer interactions. Experience with GrowthLoop is not required, but a passion for marketing is. Most importantly, you’re an excellent communicator who can function as a highly technical consultant and trusted advisor to our customers. Marketing analytics experience: hands-on experience with marketing data and martech tools. You’re comfortable interpreting campaign data, understanding the latest concepts in marketing, and building marketing data structures (identity, event streams, aggregate tables). You’ve likely used platforms like GA360, Site Catalyst / Adobe Analytics, Heap, Contentsquare, or similar. Experience with A/B testing tools (Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize, Split) and programming automations like scheduled queries or dbt are also great to have. Data foundations: hands-on experience with cloud data warehouse technologies (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, Athena, Postgres, or similar). Strong SQL, including analytic functions, data modeling, dimensional data, and nested / semi-structured data. Experience with data cleanup tools (dbt) is a plus. AI fluency: you use AI tools daily to do the work faster, and you bring curiosity about how agents, LLMs, and emerging AI workflows apply to a customer’s marketing stack. Client success orientation: proactive communication and gracious professionalism, good bedside manner with non-technical users, and the ability to translate complex technical problems into simple answers. You lead with empathy in all customer interactions. Strategic mindset: ability to navigate complex customer ecosystems, including working with stakeholders from analyst to C-suite. You recognize hidden opportunities and proactively drive initiatives. Technical curiosity: you know the CDP landscape, how customer data gets activated, and you’re perpetually curious about how things work and how they could work better. Nice to have SQL is required. Python/Jupyter notebooks or dbt are a bonus. Data visualization tools such as Superset, Tableau, Looker, Sigma. Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM, or CDPs. Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and statistical modeling applied to marketing measurement. Experience with Snowflake or BigQuery ML, Vertex AI, or related AI/ML technologies. Experience with data activation platforms. Experience with the broader AdTech ecosystem and how AdTech platforms ingest data. Experience working with AI-powered customer data platforms, LLM-based analytics tools, or agentic workflows in marketing. Our values See around corners. Build for where our customers and the industry are headed, not where they are today. If the technical path isn’t obvious yet, question assumptions, prototype, and find a way. Challenge each other. We expect you to challenge your teammates’ ideas in the name of making them stronger. We expect you to learn from and listen to your colleagues when they challenge yours. And we really do mean it: our monthly peer feedback is not only heard, but acted on. Data minded. Data guides our decisions and sharpens our thinking. It’s the compass for everything we do, and we don’t make a move without checking the needle, twice. Org minded. We move fast with a shared sense of ownership. To build something exceptional at a startup, we all have a duty to do what it takes, when it takes. And when the dust settles, we share credit generously. All are welcome Our company, business, and product are for everyone. This commitment extends to our workplace and hiring practices: we strongly encourage applications from people of color, LGBTQ+ people, parents, people with disabilities, veterans, and anyone made to feel marginalized by systems of power.
