Please note that we are unable to consider applications from candidates based in France, Italy, or Germany for this role. Money is moving onto the internet, and the shift has a name: Open Money. This is money that is open, portable, agentic, and owned by you. MetaMask spent the last ten years building it; with 100M+ downloads, users in ~190 countries, and trillions in cumulative transaction volume, it’s the most trusted self-custodial financial platform on the internet. Now we’re building the operating system for your money: one place to hold, move, grow, and use anything you own. Join a remote-first, global team rebuilding how money works: a problem that touches everyone, every day. About People & Talent People and Talent support the entire MetaMask community. We strive to be the destination employer of choice for our ecosystem. That goal is embedded in all the work we do to attract, retain and support our amazing talent. By joining our team you’ll be working with a diverse group of incredible individuals who put ‘people first’ and are designing and building the workplace of the future. This role sits within our People Operations, Data & Systems (‘PODS’) team, which operates as a cohesive, global team within People & Talent. We drive operational excellence across the employee lifecycle by streamlining processes, strengthening programs and policies, and building scalable, intuitive systems that empower teams to do their best work. We delight our customers (employees, managers, and partners) by delivering a dynamic and engaging people experience that evolves with creativity, curiosity, and accountability. Through intentional process design, thoughtful automation, and a commitment to service excellence, PODS builds scalable, sustainable people programs that support our teams and the business. What you’ll do As a Senior People Operations Associate, you will be a day-to-day owner of global People Operations, serving as our subject matter expert for Europe, while also contributing to the programs and systems work of the PODS team and leading People Operations projects from scoping through delivery. You will manage the employee lifecycle from pre-boarding through offboarding, administer leaves, keep employee data accurate in our HR systems, and help ensure our practices remain compliant with local labor law and GDPR. Just as importantly, you will look for ways to make that work more scalable by documenting processes, enabling self-service, and applying automation and AI wherever they improve accuracy, efficiency, and the employee experience. Employee Lifecycle Operations Manage end-to-end lifecycle processes globally, including pre-boarding, onboarding, employee changes, internal transfers, and offboarding. Prepare and process employment contracts, amendments, and new-hire documentation in line with local requirements, partnering with Legal where needed. Administer parental, medical, and other statutory and company leaves, as well as benefits, across multiple countries. Coordinate with Payroll on hires, terminations, compensation changes, and leaves to ensure timely and accurate processing. Partner with Employer of Record (EOR) providers and other external vendors (such as payroll, benefits, and immigration counsel) to onboard, support, and manage employees, including in countries where we do not have a local entity. Support immigration and relocation processes in partnership with external counsel, including tracking work authorization and ensuring documentation is complete. HR Systems, Data & Compliance Maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS (ADP Workforce Now), performing regular audits, reconciliations, and data cleanup. Serve as the subject matter expert for European labor law and data privacy requirements, including GDPR, and help ensure compliance across the countries where we operate, escalating risks appropriately. Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on policy, leave, and process questions, balancing empathy with compliance. Process Improvement, Automation & Documentation Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes and propose or implement automation and AI-enabled solutions, particularly for employee self-service and routine request management. Create and maintain clear documentation, including guides, FAQs, and process maps, that enable employees, managers, and the People team to self-serve. Lead and own global and regional People projects end to end, from scoping through delivery, such as system enhancements, policy rollouts, and support for new entity openings, working with Finance, Legal, and Payroll. Would be great if you brought this to the role People Operations & Compliance Experience in People/HR Operations in a global or multi-country environment, ideally in a fast-paced or scaling organization. Strong working knowledge of UK and European employment practices, statutory leave, and GDPR / UK GDPR considerations. Hands-on experience with onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle changes, and leave administration. Familiarity with immigration processes and global hiring or relocation support is a plus. Experience working with Employer of Record (EOR) providers and other third-party vendors, including managing vendor relationships and resolving issues across multiple providers. Experience drafting, updating, and maintaining employee policies and documentation. Systems, Data & Technical Skills Hands-on experience with an HRIS, ideally ADP Workforce Now. Strong attention to detail and a track record of maintaining data integrity through audits and reconciliations. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables, data validation) for reporting and analysis. Comfort experimenting with automation and AI tools, such as workflows, bots, scripting, or AI-enabled features within existing tools. Collaboration & Communication Clear, professional communication with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners such as Payroll and Legal. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, anticipating bottlenecks before they affect deadlines. Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information. A service-oriented mindset with the ability to balance responsiveness with thoughtful, scalable solutions. Experience & Background 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, HR Administration, or a related role. Extensive experience supporting employees in the UK and Europe, along with exposure to other regions, is strongly preferred. Fluency in English is required; a second major European language is a plus. Comfortable working independently and driving work from idea to execution. Experience leading or owning projects from scoping through delivery, including coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and driving work to completion. Don’t meet all the requirements? Don’t sweat it.
