AI Engineer

Description: Join JoVE as an AI Engineer to build retrieval, matching, and LLM systems for AI research products. Own features from prototype to production, collaborating with product teams and science editors. Requirements: 4+ years in software or ML engineering, with 2+ years in LLM, search, or NLP production. Strong Python skills and solid software engineering practices (testing, code review, CI/CD). Hands-on experience with RAG systems, hybrid retrieval, and prompt design. Familiarity with vector/search engines (Elasticsearch, Milvus, etc.) and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face). Experience in building offline evaluations and using metrics for decision-making.
