Staff Backend Engineer, Video Platform

Description: Join Patreon as a Staff Backend Engineer, Video Platform to enhance live video experiences for creators and their communities. Requirements: Significant experience in large-scale backend systems and technical leadership. Expertise in live video systems for large audiences (100,000+ concurrent viewers). Knowledge of live streaming technologies (HLS, WebRTC) and their trade-offs. Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native technologies (AWS, Kubernetes). Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar backend languages. Strong operational mindset with experience in defining video quality metrics and debugging production issues.
