Report Writer / Data Analyst (Sigma)

Description: Transform modeled data marts in Snowflake into trusted Sigma data models and reports for various teams. Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards in Sigma for Finance, Leave Success, Product, RevOps, CS, and leadership. Establish standards for certified data sources, naming conventions, and documentation. Implement row-level and column-level security in Sigma. Enable self-service reporting by training non-technical users and creating templates. Gather reporting requirements and translate them into clear metric definitions. Write and optimize SQL against Snowflake for data validation and report prototyping. Collaborate with data engineers on data mart changes and quality issues. Monitor report performance and usage to maintain Sigma environment efficiency. Requirements: 3+ years of experience with modern BI tools (Sigma preferred; Looker, Tableau, Power BI considered). Experience building or maintaining a semantic layer for non-technical users. Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations. Understanding of dimensional modeling concepts. Ability to design reports based on stakeholder needs. Commitment to data trust and clear communication of discrepancies. Experience in teaching data concepts to non-data professionals. High empathy and connection to the company's mission. Comfort in ambiguous environments and startup/B2B SaaS experience.
