Staff AI Engineer

Description: Cobalt seeks a Staff AI Engineer to enhance the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of AI agents in production. The role involves setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across teams to improve agent systems and software development practices. Requirements: 8–10+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership. Hands-on experience with LLM-based agents in production and improving agent reliability. Strong knowledge of agent architectures, backend systems, and security risks in agent systems. Experience with production observability and incident investigation.
