Limited Alteration Application (LAA) Intern

Description: Intern position in the Limited Alteration Application (LAA) unit at the NYC Department of Buildings. Responsibilities include monitoring Emergency Work Notification filings, updating spreadsheets and checklists, assisting with audits, and communicating with stakeholders. Requirements: Must be a matriculated student at an accredited college or graduate school. Preferred fields of study: Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management. Interest in NYC Construction Codes is essential. Benefits: Pay rates: $17.50 for Freshmen/Sophomores, $17.75 for Juniors/Seniors, $18.00 for Graduate level. Flexible work hours: Up to 17 hours/week during school, up to 35 hours/week during breaks, with potential remote work options.
