Software Developer, Senior (Remote Canada)

Description: Support the mandate for #BetterGlobalHealth through innovative health data solutions. Lead investigation, design, and delivery of solutions for complex client-reported issues and platform enhancements. Maintain highly reliable healthcare systems while mentoring team members and ensuring platform stability and scalability. Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of professional software development experience. Strong experience with Java, Spring, SQL, Git, and distributed systems. Proven troubleshooting skills in complex production environments. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and maintainability principles. Experience leading technical initiatives and projects. Ability to analyze ambiguous problems and make sound technical decisions. Strong debugging and monitoring tool experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership experience. Experience in healthcare technology, HL7, or FHIR is a plus. Familiarity with integration frameworks like Apache Camel is a plus.
