Head of Internal Communication

At Trustpilot, we’re on an incredible journey. We’re a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company with a big vision: to become the universal symbol of trust. We run the world’s largest open customer review platform, and while we’ve come a long way, there’s still so much exciting work to do. Come join us at the heart of trust! Our People Team strategy is bold, clear and meaningful: we’re becoming a Destination Employer. We want people to think “that’s where I want to work one day!” before joining Trustpilot; to feel proud and privileged and proud to be a Trustie during their time with us; and, when they move on, to look back at their time here as some of the very best years of their career. At the heart of this is a distinct focus on people experience — driven by a shared understanding of our purpose, our vision, mission and strategy, and the day-to-day things that matter. Internal Communication plays a critical role in making that happen. It is about making sure our people know what’s happening, understand why it matters, and feel connected to where we’re going - without adding to the noise. As Head of Internal Communication, you’ll own how Trustpilot communicates within itself. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad influence across the organisation, where you’ll shape the channels, tools and guidance that help information flow effectively across the organisation, while partnering closely with leaders and teams on the moments that need thoughtful, strategic communication. Whether it’s helping a leader land a difficult message, supporting a major change programme, or making sure a global team has the information it needs to succeed, you’ll bring clarity, consistency and purpose to how we communicate. You’ll work alongside our Head of Experience & Events, who owns our company-wide events and milestones. Together you make sure the story we tell as a company is consistent, whether it’s landing in an announcement from leadership, a weekly stand-up or a Friday newsletter. A simple way to think about the split: Experience & Events owns the things that happen in a similar way on a predictable rhythm — the all-hands and Friday recap newsletter every week, the strategy update every quarter, the recognition event every year. Internal Communication owns the work that changes shape depending on what the business needs — a deep partnership with a leadership team on how best to tell their story, a channel to fix, a key People initiative to launch or a major change programme to get right. What you’ll be doing: Strategic partnering Act as a hands-on, embedded communication partner to the parts of the business that need it most — today, that’s our largest function, Commercial, as well as key People programmes, such as end-of-year and promotions cycles, given the organisation-wide impact they have. This list will evolve as the business does, so you’ll bring judgement about where to lean in next. Right now, for example, that means supporting our Commercial colleagues with the design and delivery of a fit-for-purpose communication ecosystem — including their global and regional all-hands and kick-offs, how and where leadership makes announcements, and making sure this 450-person, customer-facing team has the operational information it needs to sell with confidence. Partner with our executive and senior leadership teams on communication planning and messaging for major strategic initiatives, organisational change, and business transformation — helping everyone understand the bigger picture: what we’re focusing on, why it matters, and how it might affect them. Channels & tooling Own the structure of how we communicate — our Slack channel architecture, and intranet to our digital screens — making sure the system works well, even if you’re not writing every piece of content that lives within it. Own and run the all-company announcement calendar, so important messages get the airtime they deserve and nothing important gets buried or clashes with something else. Guidance & enablement Own how we build communication capability across Trustpilot, so people and teams are equipped and confident to communicate well themselves — the mix of guides, training, AI-enabled tools, or anything else you use to get there is yours to shape. Make it easy for our ~220 leaders to communicate brilliantly — giving them the guidance, templates and confidence to lead their teams through change, strategy and everyday updates. Who you are: Significant experience in internal communication, employee engagement or a related field, with a strong track record of operating at a strategic level A trusted and credible partner who can build relationships quickly, influence senior stakeholders and work effectively with people across all levels and areas of the business. Comfortable with ambiguity — our priority partners today are Commercial, People and organisational change, but you’ll need the judgement and fluidity to flex as the business evolves A strategic thinker who can also roll up your sleeves and get things done - equally comfortable shaping a communication strategy and getting into the details of how it lands. A confident communicator, storyteller and facilitator, with the ability to bring simplicity to complexity, turn complicated briefs into clear and compelling communication, and bring people with you — whether working with senior leaders, facilitating a company-wide session or helping a leader prepare for a difficult conversation. Highly organised and detail-oriented, while retaining a clear view of the bigger picture and maintaining a strong bias for action. Data- and insight-driven, with the ability to use feedback, engagement data and communication metrics to understand impact and continuously improve. Creative and curious, with an appetite for experimenting with new channels, formats, technology and AI-enabled ways of working.
