Hold your team accountable to our engineering quality and process standards, including code review, incident response, and the tech radar. Track your team's delivery and reliability metrics, and coach your engineers on what "meeting" and "exceeding" expectations looks like. Partner with product, design, and other engineering teams to plan work and connect it to Instructure's broader strategy. Manage your team's spend and flag budget risks early. What we're looking for Experience managing software engineers, ideally with a background at the senior engineer level or above before moving into management.
