Senior / Staff Platform Software Engineer

Description: Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem with a cloud-native clearing and custody system. The Active team is building a high-performance, cloud-based trading platform for liquidity access across multiple asset classes. The role involves building an AI platform for a new trading experience, developing a backend in Rust, and designing robust APIs. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of experience with strong proficiency in any programming language. Knowledge of systems programming fundamentals: concurrency, networking, performance profiling, reliability, and distributed systems. Experience in designing and operating production APIs/services with observability and security. Ability to define platform requirements and deliver architecture end-to-end. Self-motivated with a willingness to tackle unfamiliar problems. Benefits: Base salary range of $200,000 - $350,000, based on experience and location.
