Staff Software Engineer, Program Structure & Trust

Description: Own the design and multi-quarter delivery of Vanta's enterprise org model, including hierarchical product lines and business units. Define and evolve core abstractions for structurally diverse enterprise requirements. Retrofit a live production system toward a multi-tenant org structure while preserving continuity for existing customers. Drive execution across squads, building alignment through technical clarity. Partner with Engineering leadership, Product, and Design to translate long-term vision into deliverable work. Set technical standards for the group and model engineering excellence. Requirements: 10+ years of backend engineering experience with a track record of leading complex initiatives. Experience designing platform abstractions for diverse customer requirements. Proven ability to ship in stages and move complex problems forward incrementally. Effective collaboration across teams without direct ownership. Familiarity with enterprise architectural patterns and strong communication skills. Data residency or GovCloud exposure is a plus. Open to using AI to enhance skills and work efficiency.
