Senior Cable System Design Engineer (Transmission & Distribution)

Description: Seeking experienced Senior Cable System Design Engineers for the Transmission & Distribution team at AECOM. Role involves full lifecycle cable engineering from feasibility to commissioning on various projects, including National Grid’s Great Grid Upgrade. Requirements: Experience in Cable System Design Engineering for HV/EHV projects; FEED experience is essential. Understanding of cable routing, pulling, burial risk assessments, and electromagnetic/thermal analysis. Knowledge of IEC, CIGRÉ, and National Grid standards. Familiarity with cable system ECI engineering, subsea solutions, and third-party inspections. Proficiency in tools like CYMCAP, WinCable, AutoCAD, Revit, GIS is ideal.
