Senior Geospatial Data Scientist

Description: Meridia is an agtech company focused on first-mile intelligence in agriculture supply chains. The role involves developing models and datasets for production area assessment and sourcing area analysis using geospatial, statistical, and machine learning approaches. Requirements: Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, Computer Science, or related field. 10+ years of experience in statistical and earth observation techniques for agricultural applications. Proficiency in programming languages for geospatial analysis (Python, R, Google Earth Engine). Knowledge of agricultural systems in tropical and subtropical regions. Experience with supply chain analysis modeling approaches. Strong geospatial data engineering skills and experience with large datasets. Ability to document methodologies rigorously and work independently in a remote setting. Benefits: Initial 3-month consultancy with potential for extension.
