About this role

Visual Designer

Practice Areas About LEAP LEAP is the leading provider of Legal Practice Management Solutions in the world and is part of ATI - one of the largest international LegalTech companies. For more than 30 years, our curiosity and commitment to continual improvement has kept us reimagining productivity tools for lawyers and their staff to support our guiding purpose, to ‘Help lawyers who help people’. The market-leading software we develop and support is used by more than 71,000 lawyers and their staff in small and medium-sized law firms. Working alongside our international team of passionate high achievers, you’ll join a fast-growing technology business where things seldom stay the same for long. With more than 1,000 smart, caring and ambitious ‘LEAPsters’ working together across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Poland and New Zealand, you’ll find yourself in good company here. Meet the Marketing team Our AU marketing team builds the demand, brand and pipeline behind LEAP’s growth across Australia. We work in close partnership with sales, our Practice Area of Law teams, and our global marketing function. We’re a small, ambitious team that ships meaningful work fast and backs each other to do it well, and we’re now at a point where there’s more growth in front of us than hands to chase it. That’s where you come in. What you’ll do As our Visual Designer – Practice Areas, you’ll own the look and feel of LEAP’s Practice Area of Law verticals in Australia. Each practice area speaks to a different kind of lawyer, with its own products, campaigns and audience, and your job is to give each one a distinct, cohesive visual identity that sits comfortably within the LEAP master brand. Reporting to the AU Marketing Lead and based in Sydney with a hybrid working model, you’ll work hand in hand with our Marketing Manager – Practice Areas and the wider AU marketing team, and plug into our product, web and global marketing functions. You’ll take a brief, dive deep into a practice area, and come back with designs that feel fresh, while putting the client first. LEAP has been building LegalTech for more than 30 years, so if you’re coming from a startup or agency, some things will feel more considered than you’re used to. The trade-off is worth it, because a lot of our growth is happening in parts of the business that still feel like startups. Our Practice Areas run almost like their own young companies, so there’s real, unbuilt territory here to get your teeth into, with the reach and stability of a 30-year-old business behind you. This is a role for a mid-weight, self-directed designer looking for more autonomy. To make this happen, you will: Shape practice areas identity, taking the lead on the visual identity for each of our Practice Area verticals. You’ll develop logos, colour, shapes, imagery and visual language that give every practice area its own personality while staying true to the LEAP master brand. Bring each practice area to life, translating complex software concepts into stunning, easy-to-digest visuals tailored to each audience. You’ll create high-impact graphics and illustrations for practice area landing pages, campaigns, brochures and key events, from banners and booth designs to digital assets for new product launches. Communicate product value, partnering with our Marketing Manager – Practice Areas to turn practice area positioning and messaging into clear, effective visuals that show the benefits of our practice area products to the lawyers and firms who use them. Innovate with technology, experimenting with the latest AI-driven design tools and new technologies to push our creative boundaries and keep us ahead of the curve. Collaborate across the team, working closely with the Marketing Manager – Practice Areas, AU Visual Designer, the wider AU marketing team and our product, web and practice area teams to keep the creative vision consistent and effective across every practice area. What you’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in graphic design, ideally in a B2B, SaaS or technology brand. A standout portfolio with a clean, modern and impactful aesthetic across digital, print and motion. We want to see how you turn complex ideas into compelling visuals, and how you’ve built or evolved brand and sub-brand systems. Proficiency in design, video and motion graphics software, including Figma, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. Curiosity about new design technologies and tools, including AI, and an eagerness to experiment with them. Experience taking briefs from marketing and product stakeholders and leading the visual direction for a product or audience. Excellent communication and a collaborative instinct, you know the best creative is built with other teams, not around them. Comfort in a fast-growth environment, you handle some ambiguity and competing priorities without losing momentum. You might also bring A background in an agency, startup, high-growth or legal-sector business. Experience designing for distinct audiences or sub-brands within one master brand. Strong digital design / product experience. Why join LEAP? LEAP is an inclusive, people-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential. If you meet some, but not all, of the requirements above, we encourage you to still submit your application. Your work matters. Helping lawyers help people sits at the heart of everything we do. We solve real world problems that improve and support local, everyday law firms, so they can do their best work for the people in the communities they serve. Make an impact. You won’t be another ‘cog in the wheel’ here. We give full trust and autonomy for you to be heard, to work on big and complex projects, and to make a real difference. Work with a group of authentic, passionate people who love what they do. Flexible and hybrid working. We’d like to find this person in Sydney, but we want you to work in a way that suits you and we’re open to flexible arrangements that support you. Grow your career with us. Our founder Christian Beck has been building legal tech businesses for over 30 years. There are opportunities galore to expand your career based on where your interests lie, and in this role you’ll grow alongside the function as it scales. We’re not afraid to pivot based on market conditions, so you will always have the opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and do your best work here. Have fun with us. Celebrations. Socials. Sports teams. Access to sailing and yacht events. We value your well-being - enjoy an additional paid wellbeing day every year, free gym membership, corporate dental plan and weekly massages in the office. Work in a new, beautiful office space with a catered lunch and breakfast every week, a fully stocked kitchen and an on-site barista. Access to LEAP Home - a program unique to LEAP to support you in buying your primary residence. #LI-AE1
