Senior ML Backend Engineer - Search & Recommendations

Description: Own online systems for search, retrieval, and recommendation serving. Work with the AI team to build a self-owned discovery stack for the marketplace. Collaborate with data scientists on relevance and ranking models. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in building backend or platform systems in production. 2+ years of experience operating a production search engine (e.g., Elasticsearch, OpenSearch). Experience with low-latency services and streaming ingestion (e.g., Kafka, Debezium). Strong proficiency in Python and comfortable with TypeScript. Experience with A/B testing and staged rollouts.
