Senior Cloud Database Administrator (MySQL & AWS RDS/Aurora)

Description: Seeking a Senior Cloud Database Administrator with expertise in MySQL, InnoDB, AWS RDS, and Amazon Aurora. Role focuses on evolving database operations into a reliability-first, automation-driven platform, troubleshooting complex issues, and automating manual tasks. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in Database Administration, Engineering, or Reliability Engineering. Extensive hands-on MySQL experience with knowledge of InnoDB internals. Strong experience administering MySQL on AWS RDS/Aurora. Proven skills in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience with backups, restores, disaster recovery, and high availability. Proficient in CloudWatch and Performance Insights. Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, SQL, AWS CLI). Understanding of AWS security (IAM, encryption). Experience in Agile teams with strong communication skills. Preferred: Terraform, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
