Principal Software Engineer - Data

Description: Own the data platform for Lyric's products and AI agents, focusing on the semantic layer and data foundations. Set architecture, write code, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating with the Head of Engineering. Requirements: Experience building and owning data platforms or semantic layers in production (e.g., knowledge graphs, entity models). Strong understanding of systems reasoning, durability, failure recovery, and scalability. Proven track record of building systems from scratch to production scale in a startup environment. Proficiency in writing production code and using AI coding tools. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead senior engineers without formal authority.
