Customer Solutions Manager

Customer Solutions Manager Full time Location: Remote in Australia (Sydney, Brisbane or Gold Coast preferred) Mid/Senior role Regular travel to customer sites, mostly east coast day trips This isn’t a hand-it-over-at-go-live customer success role. You own each customer from sales kickoff onward. You lead the implementation, get them live on their first workflow, and then keep improving and growing how they use Assignar for as long as they’re with us. About Us: Building the OS for Construction Assignar is a mission-led construction tech company founded in 2014, with teams in North America, Colombia, and Australia. We help contractors manage their crews, equipment and financial workflows in one place. Our goal is to strengthen the construction industry through digital innovation. What does “Customer Solutions Manager” actually mean here? Our customers are construction contractors. We help them connect what happens on site (who worked where, on what, for how long) to how they pay their people and bill their clients. Customers start using Assignar quickly, but connecting their payroll and finance processes to their day-to-day operations takes building, testing and refining. So each customer gets one person who knows their business and their setup, and who stays with them the whole way. That’s you. What you’ll own Implementation from kickoff to go-live. Own the project plan, the main build (using AI tools), data setup, onboarding and testing. In your first kickoff, agree with the customer what they want achieved in 12 months. That’s what you measure progress against. Your first milestone is getting their first workflow live, usually payroll. Expect the “what about this?” questions to keep coming as you test with them. Training. Build training materials, run on-site days when they’re scoped, and train new team members as the customer hires them. The customer’s environment. Build and maintain their configuration, workflows, forms and user setup. Troubleshooting, reconfiguring, rebuilding forms and retraining are part of the job, not something you hand off. You know the account best, so you make the call and own the outcome. Ongoing improvement. Going live is the start, not the finish. Run a quarterly success review with every live customer, focused on business outcomes: have we solved payroll, how long does it take now compared with where they want it, are errors coming down. Account health. Watch for risk signals like low usage, a champion leaving or unresolved issues, and raise them well before they turn into a churn conversation. How we’ll measure success Time to first live workflow Progress against each customer’s 12-month goals Adoption across field, operations and finance users Quarterly success reviews completed with every live customer No surprise churn, with logo retention and GRR targeting 90% Put simply: customers who trust you to run their rollout and who keep getting more value out of Assignar every quarter. Who you are Experienced in implementations. You’ve taken B2B software customers from kickoff to live, ideally in payroll, ERP, finance or construction software. Comfortable with payroll and finance workflows. Enterprise agreements, pay rates, cost codes and job costing make sense to you, and you can talk to a payroll officer and a CFO in the same week. Hands-on with the tech. You’d rather configure it yourself than raise a ticket, and you learn a platform deeply. A strong project runner. You keep a multi-month rollout moving with a clear plan and clear owners on both sides. The person customers trust. You build real relationships and raise problems early, even when it’s an awkward conversation. AI-curious. You use AI tools to build and work faster, and you check the output. Happy on site. You’re comfortable with regular day trips to customer sites. The tools you’ll work with Assignar · Asana · Salesforce · Linear · JustCall · AI tools Why Join You own the whole customer relationship, from before signature through every renewal, not one slice of it. You’ll build deep finance expertise working alongside our Solutions Engineers on some of the most complex rollouts in construction tech. There’s a clear pathway from here into Senior CSM, Solutions Engineering or Sales. We’re a small, AI-first team, so your work is visible and your ideas get acted on.
