Applied AI Engineer – Coaching
About this role
You've already worked out how to put AI into products people actually use. Now do it for a mission you can stand behind. A profitable, seed-stage career-tech company believes great coaching shouldn't be a privilege. They match experienced operators (engineering leaders, CTOs, marketers and more) as coaches with managers and leaders at leading tech companies. Their bet: as AI spreads, human expertise gets more valuable, not less. So they build software and AI around the coaching session itself, capturing what's really going on at work, giving coaches richer context, and helping members keep applying what they learn between sessions. An AI-native challenger to an established incumbent, remote-first across North and Latin America. They're hiring 2 applied AI engineers. What you'll own
- New AI features built on foundation models, from zero, designed to adapt, be reused and grow
- Agent experiences that turn what coaches know and how they work into something members genuinely use
- Pipelines and integrations with the work and learning tools people already rely on
- Shipping often, making the trade-offs, and helping colleagues get better at AI and data What you bring
- Roughly 8–10 years as a full-stack engineer with strong product instincts
- AI and data features live in production, used by real people. Applied AI in a product, not ML research or data engineering.
- An AI-assisted coding workflow you've deliberately sharpened, with validation and automation built in
- Solid server-side and web experience; you switch stacks without drama
- Startup DNA: high ownership, fine with ambiguity, driven by the mission
- You can take someone through a past project, explain each technical decision clearly, and say what you'd change Bonus points
- You've been a founder or founding engineer
- AI on transcripts, very long documents, or legal and regulatory text What's in it for you - $180k–$210k base + equity
- Fully remote, with two team offsites a year
- A small, flat team that works side by side with design and the coaches Good to know
- Full-time, remote, US-based
- Process: technical screen → system design → coding interview with LLMs → conversation with other teams → final call → offer Does this sound like you? Apply now. If you're a match, we'll be in touch within 3 working days. RnB Consultancy | Netherlands | 3604 AB Maarssen | KvK 71489703
