Senior Backend Engineer - Commodities

Description: Join Kpler as a Senior Software Engineer on the Connected Supply Chain team to enhance the real-time trade intelligence platform for North American inland supply chains. Lead the design, implementation, and operation of major platform subsystems, integrating various data sources into a unified intelligence platform. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on distributed production systems. Proven experience with event-driven or data-intensive systems using streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka). Strong backend skills in Python and REST API design (FastAPI), with some frontend experience (TypeScript/Vue). Experience managing production cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and establishing SLOs. Ability to mentor engineers and engage with end-users or stakeholders.
