COBOL Developer (z/OS) - LATAM Remote

Description: Workstate seeks a COBOL Developer for an 18-month modernization project to convert legacy RPG II codebase to COBOL on IBM z/OS. The role involves preparing for a cloud migration to Google Cloud Platform using the Raincode mainframe rehosting platform. This position is fully remote for candidates residing in Colombia or Argentina with the right to work. Requirements: 4+ years of professional COBOL development experience on IBM z/OS mainframes. Strong SQL and data skills, especially with DB2 for z/OS. Familiarity with JCL, TSO/ISPF, batch processing, VSAM, and mainframe utilities. Experience with legacy modernization, code conversion, or mainframe migration projects. B1 level (intermediate) or higher English proficiency for technical documentation and discussions.
