This role ensures team members have the knowledge, training, tools, and support needed to meet or exceed business objectives. Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee medical record and correspondence requests, including process improvement and document creation.
- MRR and Letter Handling/Process Improvement
- Medical Record Portal
- Vendor Management
- Provider Management
- Payer/Provider Collaboration.
- Manage team workflows to maintain quality standards and productivity.
- Provide inventory management coverage during periods of overflow.
- Conduct quality assurance monitoring for HIM staff.
- Collaborate with leadership, team members, vendors, and clients to continually improve processes and strengthen client and vendor communications.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare privacy and security laws, including HIPAA, and safeguard health information from unauthorized access.
- Manage electronic health records (EHRs) and, as necessary, paper records. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health information management.
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential in good standing.
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience training others.
- Experience leading or managing a team.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
