Backend Developer (Rust)

Description: Join a small engineering team building a bespoke distributed execution engine in Rust for a B2B sourcing platform in the automotive dealership industry. Focus on developing a horizontally scalable, step-based execution engine that drives order processing and ETL pipelines. Requirements: 7+ years of backend development experience. 3+ years of professional Rust experience. Strong understanding of distributed systems and fault-tolerant software architecture. Familiarity with graph theory, type theory, parsers and compilers, with a focus on distributed systems. Real-world DevOps experience. Benefits: Hybrid work setup in Berlin/Wildau (1 day in office) or fully remote for other European locations. Official employment in Germany or B2B contract elsewhere in Europe. Full-time position (~40 hours/week) with meaningful overlap with CEST hours.
