Senior Backend Engineer-Payments

Description: Join an international broker focusing on payments across Asia, Africa, LATAM, and the Middle East. Own the connector layer and downstream processes, building a canonical adapter layer for payment providers. Collaborate with the orchestration platform team to define and review required behaviors. Requirements: 5+ years in backend engineering with strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js. Production experience with payment systems including authorization, callbacks, and reconciliation. Practical understanding of idempotency, asynchronous status handling, and transaction state machines. Experience integrating third-party APIs and resolving documentation issues. Ability to own a service, making architecture decisions and root cause fixes. Proficient in English and Russian at a working communicative level. Preferred: Exposure to .NET, experience with APM and local rails, and familiarity with event-driven patterns. Benefits: Fully remote work within GMT to GMT+4, no relocation required.
