Senior Analytics Engineer, Data Platform

Description: Join the Data and Insights Group (DIG) at The New York Times as a Senior Analytics Engineer, focusing on data foundations for enterprise reporting. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to provide decision-making insights that support world-class journalism. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar roles. Proficiency in SQL, DBT, Python, and data transformation workflows. Familiarity with GCP/BigQuery, Databricks/Spark, AWS, Snowflake, or other cloud data environments. Experience in communicating updates to business and technical partners. Benefits: Base salary range: $124,000 - $135,000 USD, plus variable pay (annual bonus and restricted stock).
