Staff Software Engineer - Video Platform

Description: Join Canva's team to redefine design experiences. Develop and maintain high-performance C++ services for audio and video processing. Design distributed systems for multimedia content delivery to millions of users. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers for video editing experiences. Requirements: Strong experience in building scalable backend systems using C++. Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (concurrency, memory management, etc.). Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms. Skills in diagnosing and resolving performance issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Passion for audio and video technologies. Experience with video codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1) and multimedia frameworks (FFmpeg, GStreamer). Knowledge of multimedia containers (MP4, WebM).
