Staff Data Engineer, Analytics

Description: Afresh is an AI platform for grocery, focused on reducing food waste and improving decision-making for partners like Albertsons and Meijer. The Staff Data Engineer will lead the development of the analytics platform, enhancing data models and governance to support internal and customer-facing analytics. Requirements: 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles. Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-team collaboration. Proficiency in SQL, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse design; experience with Cloud Data Warehouse platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake). Experience with dbt, orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster), and modern semantic layers. Ability to design and optimize pipelines for large datasets and work with AI models.
