Data Governance & Metadata Scientist

Description: SOSi is seeking a Data Governance & Metadata Scientist to develop and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem for a DoD customer. The role focuses on enhancing interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics to enable real-time information sharing and dynamic data integration. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, GIS, or related field, or five years of equivalent experience in data governance or metadata management. Proficiency in metadata management, data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage), and governance best practices. Expertise in geospatial data standards and compliance with DoD metadata policies. Experience implementing metadata governance frameworks in cloud-based environments and utilizing tools like OpenLineage or Apache Atlas. Benefits: Remote working conditions.
