Kyndryl
Associate Director, Solutions Marketing
About this role
Who We Are At Kyndryl, we run and reimagine the mission-critical technology systems that drive advantage for the world's leading businesses. We are at the heart of progress; with proven expertise and a continuous flow of AI-powered insight, enabling smarter decisions, faster innovation, and a lasting competitive edge. For our people-Kyndryls-that means doing purposeful work that powers human progress. Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive. The Role Role Summary This Solution Marketing Manager is a key member and leader on the Solution Marketing team, owning the development of positioning, messaging and narrative that helps Kyndryl's sales, marketing and GTM teams succeed. They own the artifacts and arguments that make Kyndryl's capabilities credible and compelling to our target buyers. We are hiring for people skilled and passionate about the craft of solution marketing (often called portfolio or product marketing): getting inside a technical domain quickly, synthesizing customer, market, competitive and business insight, finding the customer tension and business value at stake, and building the positioning and evidence that make Kyndryl's value obvious and differentiated. For this specific role, experience in cloud technology and cloud services is an asset. This is an individual contributor role with significant leadership opportunity to influence portfolio strategy. It works with limited direction and anticipates where the market and the business are moving and updates positioning ahead of being asked, rather than waiting for a brief. It is accountable for cross-functional projects and mobilizes people who do not report to it. Positioning, Value Proposition and Messaging Develop and maintain a point of view on buyers, their needs, market dynamics and competition; synthesize these inputs into implications for positioning, messaging and go-to-market priorities. Own the development of positioning, messaging and narrative for Cloud propositions so that sales, marketing and customer-facing GTM teams have credible, evidence-based assets to work from. Build messaging that works across the buying cohort: business outcomes and strategic relevance for executive buyers, and the technical specificity and proof required by architects and practitioners. Anticipate shifts in the market and proactively update artifacts before they go stale. Ensure the narratives connect to Kyndryl's wider modernization portfolio message and Kyndryl's top level narrative, so it lands as part of a whole rather than a standalone pitch. Contribute to naming decisions for propositions and offerings. Buyer and Field Enablement, Own the content on Kyndryl.com - accurate, current, and consistent with the agreed positioning. Build the first-call and executive customer materials that carry narratives into live conversations. Run feedback loops with sales, delivery and solutioning teams, and refine messaging based on what actually happens in real engagements. Translate positioning into prioritized buyer stories, use cases and GTM plays, partnering with campaign, content, sales and alliance teams to determine how and where it should show up. Stakeholder Partnership, Become a critical part of extended teams, partnering closely on shared projects with the business stakeholders. Know what is being built and what is coming. Partner with the hyperscaler & broader alliance teams so messaging holds up in joint go-to-market and partner-facing touchpoints. Influence and align stakeholders without formal authority - adapt the argument to the audience and find agreement rather than escalating. Success Measures, Message Foundations: artifacts stay current with the business and the market, and buyer relevance, with updates landing ahead of change rather than after it. Credibility: recognized by business stakeholders as a trusted marketing partner, measured by demand for the role's input. Cross-functional delivery: named accountability on cross-functional initiatives, delivered without direct authority over the contributors. Message adoption: positioning shows up intact in campaigns, field conversations and partner touchpoints. Your Future at Kyndryl Every position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career. We have opportunities that you won't find anywhere else, including hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and the chance to certify in all four major platforms. Whether you want to broaden your knowledge base or narrow your scope and specialize in a specific sector, you can find your opportunity here. Who You Are You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused - someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
