Platform/DevOps Engineer

Description: Implement and deploy a self-hosted Renovate environment, including containers, workers, and job orchestration. Automate repository discovery and onboarding across tens of thousands of GitLab repositories using the GitLab API. Develop and maintain central, version-controlled Renovate configuration presets and enable repository-level customization. Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and reporting dashboards. Optimize system performance through parallelization, caching, and robust error handling. Integrate artifact and container registries with secure credential management solutions. Automate and streamline operational processes for reliable day-to-day operation. Prepare operational documentation and provide technical support to development teams. Support the phased rollout of the solution from pilot to full-scale adoption. Requirements: Solid professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role. Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and practical experience with the GitLab API. Hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (OpenTofu, Helm). Good scripting or programming skills in Bash, Python, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript. Experience with monitoring solutions, preferably New Relic. Knowledge of secrets management solutions such as Vault. Experience with package and container registries. Practical experience with Renovate and automated dependency management. Strong automation mindset focused on scalability and reliability. Ability to work independently in a structured manner. Good English communication skills.
