Senior Android Engineer

Description: Join SimpleStudy, a consumer AI platform helping over 1.5M students worldwide. Own the mobile app development end-to-end, including architecture, performance, and release process. Lead and mentor existing mobile engineers, setting technical direction and enhancing mobile craft. Collaborate on engineering strategy and product direction, focusing on growth, onboarding, and retention. Drive app polish with smooth animations and responsive interactions. Work in a PLG/A/B testing environment to ship features and measure impact. Manage app store presence and release cadence, including versioning and performance monitoring. Potential to grow a dedicated mobile team as the app expands. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in native Android development. Proficient in Kotlin and experienced in building consumer-grade Android applications. Familiar with Jetpack Compose, Android Views, and Android frameworks/tools (Firebase, push notifications). Experience with Android Studio, testing frameworks, and Google Play Console. Knowledge of common Android architecture and state management patterns. Skills in debugging, performance optimization, and crash monitoring. Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams. Bonus: Java and iOS (Swift) experience.
