Technical Lead (GovCon | Public Trust Eligibility)

Description: Lead design, development, and modernization of enterprise software systems for federal missions. Drive engineering efforts across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment. Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend applications using modern engineering best practices. Architect and develop APIs using REST and GraphQL. Lead system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making. Collaborate with product, architecture, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams for integrated solutions. Troubleshoot complex application and system performance issues. Contribute to cloud modernization and platform engineering improvements. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and establish engineering standards. Translate business and mission requirements into technical strategies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, including enterprise application development. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, OpenJDK, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and REST APIs. Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and scalable applications. Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices. Experience building cloud-native applications in AWS or Azure. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps workflows. Knowledge of secure software development principles and API security.
