Whiskey Library
Senior Google Ads Manager (Ecommerce)Whiskey Library | Full time | Remote, world
About this role
Senior Google Ads Manager (Ecommerce) Whiskey Library | Full time | Remote, worldwide Whiskey Library is looking for a curious, commercially minded marketer with deep Google Ads expertise. You will develop the messaging, write the copy and run the experiments that grow our Bourbon Mystery Box subscription and online bottle shop. You will have room to form a point of view, put it into practice and improve it through testing. Working directly with our CMO, creative team and landing-page designer, you will take ideas from customer insight through to execution and the next iteration. About Whiskey Library We help people discover great craft whiskey through our Bourbon Mystery Box, a monthly subscription of full-size bottles chosen around their tastes, and our online bottle shop. We buy single barrels and small blends directly from craft distilleries and independent bottlers, with both names on the label. We also carry bottles from their core ranges. That gives you a mix of familiar producers and distinctive selections to market. We are a small, global, fully remote team. We value ownership, speed and high-quality output over process or hierarchy. What you will own
- Study customer reviews, search queries, objections and competing offers to develop ideas about what will persuade someone to buy.
- Develop messaging that fits our brand, write and refine ad copy, and bring specific creative and landing-page concepts to the team.
- Own a prioritised testing plan. Define a hypothesis and success measure, run focused A/B tests, assess the evidence and use what you learn to shape the next experiment.
- Execute Google Ads strategy across Search, Shopping, Performance Max and other suitable formats, including campaign structure, bidding and budget management.
- Keep conversion tracking, Merchant Center and product feeds working reliably, coordinating fixes with the team.
- Assess acquisition cost, order value, gross profit and customer lifetime value, with clear separation between branded and non-branded activity, subscriptions and retail.
- Share findings with the wider marketing team, turn their insights into new tests, and follow through independently on agreed work. You will make routine account decisions independently. Budget increases, offer changes and major shifts in strategy are agreed with our CMO, particularly when they affect other channels. What you bring
- Strong marketing judgment and writing ability. You can connect customer insight to persuasive copy and explain why a message fits the brand.
- Curiosity demonstrated through your work: questions you investigated, assumptions you challenged and ideas you changed when the evidence surprised you.
