Staff AI Engineer

Description: Foodsmart is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to lead the architecture and delivery of AI-powered systems. The role involves backend engineering, applied machine learning, and mentoring engineers across teams. Requirements: 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years at the Staff Engineer level. 4+ years of backend development experience in TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL-based RDBMS. 1+ years of experience deploying ML/AI models to production. Strong understanding of system architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and scalable API design. Proven leadership in mentoring engineers and driving cross-team projects.
